No Pattern Ruffled Skirt for American Girl Dolls
These ruffled skirt may look difficult to sew at first glance but it’s not exactly the case. I made these skirts without any pattern at all and it took me about 30 minutes or so to finish it. The secret is to use a fabric that does not fray like the red skirt in the photo. The blue skirt takes more time because I used a cotton fabric for this so I have to hem the bottom of each strip of ruffle. I had the opportunity to guest blog at SewMamaSew.Com wherein I wrote the tutorial for making this ruffled skirt and the floral top . It was pinned hundredth times from SewmMamaSew.com so I guess people love it. This is the link – Written Tutorial for Ruffled Skirt. Below is the video tutorial I posted in youtube on how to sew this ruffled skirt.

Very cute. Thanks!
So cute! It would be awesome to serge each ruffle in a contrasting thread. (I’m too lazy to hem each layer, lol)
Me too, that’s why I prefer fabric that does not fray
i think that is so cute im probably going to make it tomorrow!
